4th Annual ''Get Fresh" Strawberry Festival
June 19 & 20, 2010
10am to 4pm
Special Festival Activities:
  • Wagon ride around the strawberry fields, around the other farm crops and even pass by a honey bee station...learn about our different crops, our efforts on becoming a better environmentally friendly farm
  • Petting farm tours: Touch, feed and learn about the small farm animals visiting us for our 2010 season... new babies and some returning. Animal treats sold in support of the CRC($)
  • Inflatable structures for young ones
  • Tractor Tricycle park for young ones
  • Play structures: giant slide, double slide, hay barn, giant mind puzzles, hay structure and lots more farm fun!
  • New in 2010 2 story tree house
  • New in 2010 mystery word treasure hunt
  • Mazes: 2 new fence mazes added in 2009
  • Honey hive guided tour added in 2009
  • Face painting ($CRC), arm tattoos, ink tattoos in support of the CRC($)
  • Pictures: have your picture taken with one of our farm mascots
  • Kids corner from painting to farm games in support of the CRC($) Test your ability to win free passes to our 2010 Pumpkin Festival or family passes to our 2011 Maple Festival and for the pros; win passes to Skreamers our evening haunting 2 story ''Barn of Terror'' and its ''Scary Wagon Ride''
  • Food sampling: 3 tickets/paid admission: home made strawberry jams recipes, rhubarb, honey from Heavenly Honey produced from the 16 honey bee hives located on the farm, strawberry pie, strawberry/rhubarb pie and other, the real 100% pure maple syrup produced on the farm since 1920, maple products & more
  • Gay Lea: visit Gay Lea's booth, get information on the product, learn about its low calorie version, sample different foods served with the aerosol dairy product, receive free recipes
  • Jam / pie station: learn how to make your own strawberry jam using Certo pectin, cooked or freezer jam, liquid or powder, regular or low sugar. Get tips on strawberry pie making from our expert jam maker Twyla from Twyla's Treats
  • Honey hives guided tours, see a real active hive...see if you can find the queen !! Learn about honey extraction with our expect from Heavenly Honey
  • Strawberry treats($): chocolate covered strawberry, strawberry flavored cotton candy, etc.
  • Strawberry picking($):(Weather permitting) go out into the fields and pick your very own strawberries from one of the 13 different varieties available at Proulx Farms... berries sold separately /lb picked and containers also sold separately
  • Berry counter($): ready picked strawberries, rhubarb and garden vegetables will be available for purchase
  • Canteen & snack bar ($)open: 10am to 3pm... or bring your own picnic
  • Cost: Admission to the festival activities: $6.00/person(3yrs & over)
  • Groups / Family gatherings/Fathers day picnics welcome with a reservations only($).
